Ermenegildo Zegna’s Launches A New Sustainable Campaign In Honor Of Its 110th Anniversary

With the Fall 2020 campaign, the brand asks people to be part of Zegna Forest and become an active supporter of OASI Zegna.

The true spirit of Zegna is in the Biella Alps, in Piemonte, Northern Italy. In love with nature and deeply rooted in his homeland, Ermenegildo Zegna launched a formidable program of environmental reclamation in the 1930s. He established a ‘green thought’ where relationships between man, mountain, culture and nature are preserved for the benefit of generations to come. Dedicating himself to the local environment and landscape, he planted 500,000 conifer trees over the years across the mountains surrounding his wool mill.

The visionary Ermenegildo also built a 26 km road called the Panoramica Zegna to link the region’s villages and Trivero to their natural surroundings. He fostered a positive relationship with the local territory and the community by creating a lasting environment for the public to enjoy.

Zegna has continued to preserve  ‘green thought’ and reforestation projects through the Oasi Zegna.  From an isolated mountain to a nature oasis, Oasi Zegna is capable of giving visitors an educational and unexpectedly moving experience.

A new initiative calls for fans of the Italian fashion brand or anyone else who shares its eco-conscious values to do their part in preserving nature. Consumers can support the cause by buying an engraved wooden heart crafted from Italian trees, fallen naturally or cut down for safety reasons. All the sale proceeds will help safeguard the unspoiled landscape as well as contribute to enrich the forest with new plants. It will be exclusively available on the brand’s official website.
