The “Khadi Goes Global” event was organized by Ficci Ladies Organisation (FLO) along with All India Women’s Education Fund Association (AIWEFA)  at The National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum in New Delhi. The event honored Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary and 100 years of Khadi.

“Khadi is magical. It’s hold over us is emotional as well as aesthetic. It is the fabric of freedom associated with Gandhiji and the fight for independence. It is also a magical canvas for the most exquisite embroideries from resham and Zardozi to mirror work and gota. We present the new line with an aim to introduce the audience to its multi-dimensional beauty and our own personal design history and romance with Khadi.” Say designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla

Aditi Rao Hydari wore a beige Khadi gathered anarkali embellished in gota work and ghungroos worn with a vest. A tiered dupatta in gota work completed the ensemble, teamed with statement chandbali earrings designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo with diamonds and pearls set in 22k gold.

Shallu Jindal wore a beige Khadi multilkali with an attached draped saree in finest gold badla , kangini and zari work

Pinky Reddy looked elegant in a beige Khadi saree hand embroidered in fine Kani thread work worn with a Jacket blouse with silk trimmings and ghungroos

Jyoti Burret wore an off-white Khadi front open Patola coat, hand embroidered in multicoloured Resham work worn with a complimentary blouse and a gathered Khadi skirt with ghungroo tassels and silk trimmings. The ensemble was completed with modern trendy pearl earrings from White Whisper collection designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo. These are made beautiful by delicate prominent pearl tassels in 22k gold with pearl and diamonds.

Kusha Kapila wore a Khadi saree embellished in multicoloured Resham work edged with gold Marodi borders worn with a box pleated jacket edged with marodi borders and silk trimmings. The ensemble was enhanced with stunning floral motif earrings from the Legacy collection designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo. Large diamonds set in 22kt gold.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni looked radiant in an offwhite Khadi low waisted multikali embellished in tiny gota dots and intricate zardosi and kangini work highlighted with crystals. The ensemble was compliemented with beautiful jhumka earrings from the Legacy collection designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo. Diamonds and pearls are beautifully combined with 22k gold.

Lylah Shaw wore an off-white Khadi angarkha fully embellished in gota work and edged with ghungroos teamed with a Khadi dupatta in gota work. Beautiful chandbali earrings set in 22k gold with diamonds and pearls designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo highlighted the ensemble.

Dolly Singh wore a beige Khadi saree with floral patterns in khitcha zardosi work with a complimentary blouse to match with earrings from the Legacy collection. These  exqusite 22k gold earrings are set with large diamonds designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla crafted by Saboo.
