The Ocean Sail 82 follows the sustainable philosophy of Alva Yachts. The 25m sailing yacht is a full-electric boat with solar panels.

Designed for long-range, off-grid cruising, the Ocean Sail 82 is powered by wind and a 135kW electric motor connected to a generator-powered battery pack.

With the OCEAN SAIL 82 the goal was to create the best self-sufficient sailing yacht ever made of its size. The goal was to design the best electric performance yacht possible. Therefore, it was essential to combine a hull influenced by the shape of racing hulls with a comfortable and cozy deck layout.

The design of the Ocean Sail 82 by HENNDESIGN Studio was awarded with the A-Design award in 2019 for best yacht & marine vessel. The first 24.9 meter yacht is due to hit the water in 2022.

Key materials include a carbon fiber mast and boom and GRP and carbon fibre hull and rig inspired by racing yachts. Inside, the main layout includes a large saloon and dining area large enough for 10 guests. Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests in four double cabins and an owner’s cabin located at the bow.
