Brad Pitt has launched Fleur de Miraval, a £290 rosé Champagne made in collaboration with Pierre Péters.

The Champagne is a joint venture between Pitt, the Perrin family with whom he and Jolie operate Miraval’s Côtes de Provence estate, and Rodolphe Péters, whose family has been producing grand crus around Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for more than a century. Its the only Champagne house exclusively devoted to rosé, the first release from the project, Fleur De Miraval, will go on sale around the world on 15 October.

Fleur de Miraval Exclusivement Rosé, which will be released Oct. 15, is a blend of 75 percent mature Chardonnay grapes and 25 percent young Pinot Noir grapes aged in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger for three years.

As far as taste goes, Fleur de Miraval, which is expected to cost about $390 per bottle, boasts “tangy notes of red currant and red raspberry” and a “delicate minerality.”

The champagne has been inspired by Countess Fleur de Miraval, who only drank rose champagne to honor her southern French roots.
