IINDACO debuted in February 2020 with its own e-commerce channel — the launch collection was not reliant on external retailers. Co-founders Domitilla Rapisardi and Pamela Costantini launched the brand with the idea to combine luxury with sustainability. Their mission is to take part and enhance the circular economy system, reducing waste and abuse typically associated with the fashion industry.

IINDACO, which takes its name from the color indigo, and incidentally the hue of the night’s sky when you’re free from work and about to party. It also happily coincides with the Italian institution that is aperitivo time. The duo use only recycled fabrics and leather derived from the food industry — naturally tanned and biodegradable — and their signature blue colorant is made using leftovers from the lavender production process. As for that double ‘I’ in IINDACO, that’s a play on both the founders, duality and a touch of chance: both were born in November, the eleventh month.

The materials with which IINDACO shoes are made are all high quality materials united by eco-sustainable characteristics: recycled and recyclable ABS heels, regenerated leather insoles, certified linings in biodegradable leather, fabrics or leathers found after a constant research among warehouses and stocks throughout Italy.
The research and selection of suppliers of components and raw materials is continuous, aimed at preferring over time those companies who manage to guarantee a high degree of eco-sustainability, from environmental impact to energy saving.
With its blending of architectural silhouettes, satin moray wraps and fancy beaded disco heels, that were a hit at the Prada Moda party during this Spring 2020 Paris Couture Week, IINDACO is the new responsible and creative luxury label of 2020.
