Black and white: Dual tones are in, the monochromatic combination of black and white variety instead of colour. If Tracy Reese showed black and white floral prints, Derek Lam and Ralph Lauren showed checks, Peter Som and Jill Stuart stripes, and Reem Acra showed hound’s-tooth.

Safari: The ‘on a safari holiday’ look was pitched to perfection by Jason Wu’s unstructured dress which he showed with silk crepe safari jacket, while Diane von Furstenberg added a gold minidress to her safari range.

Floral and plaid: The ’90s are back in our wardrobes. From Tanya Taylor to Tadashi Shoji and Tracy Reese, all showed an eclectic combination of florals and plaids.
