Finally, here’s the Marie Kondo moment of the fashion world!
With the help of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Vestiaire Collective has a creative idea that challenges us to be more conscious of our wardrobe choices through its new initiative, ‘Wardrobe Reality Check.’ This 4 step challenge hopes to inspire fashion lovers across the globe to take this moment to re-asses their wardrobe choices. Only the pieces that serve a purpose and make you feel great are to be kept.
You start by dividing your clothes into four different piles of items that you don’t need. Items could be categorized by pieces to be resold, donated to charity, repurposed or recycled. You then deposit the pieces from your resale pile on the Vestiaire Collective app.
The next steps would be to change the way you care for your pieces with tips from pros. Then building a future wardrobe will involve investing in sustainable and vintage pieces. Finally, share your tips and get involved with friends to make the whole challenge more interesting.

It’s a simple initiative to empower people to realize that they can drive significant changes by making small steps they can feel good about. In the end, it’s not the big statements that will drive the most impact, but the changes taken by individuals every day.
